Patalsu Peak Trek is Moderate trek and can be undertaken with little arrangement of mountaineering gear (tents,bags etc..).
Trek starts from Solang which is situated at 13KM from Manali and is easily reachable by Bus or you can trek to hear which passes through few villages from Manali and takes about 4-5 hours.
I did this trek as a part of my basic mountaineering course, we started at about 8 AM in the morning from ABVIMAS campus in Solang and reached the top in about 3-4 hours. Our lunch was packed and we spent some time there before heading back.
Depending upon your health and awareness of mountains, you can do this trek on your own or take services from any trek guide in that area.
Temprature at Patalsu Peak is usually lesser than that of Solang however treks ends in day so no special clothing is required for the trek.
